good car. on Pull-Along Vans

Good size wagon with very good wheels. I would not buy again. The car arrived with scratches and missing fittings. The crate containing the transporter arrived intact, but some of the missing equipment was dangling in the crate, and the metal transporter was presumably scratched by the metal equipment floating in the crate. My husband found enough gear to assemble and put under the tree by Christmas morning, but the van seemed to be someone else's marriage.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Almost everything is in order

Not the quality of children's toys that Radio Flyer once boasted about.

Parts are packed OK but nuts, washers, bolts and screws are thrown in the boxes as an afterthought (two wagons bought). Like looking for a needle in a haystack. They look good together, but when my son-in-law first tried to get my little 11-month-old grandson in, the handle broke off in his hand. For the price I paid I am disgusted with the lack of quality control. You should send me a new pen, but I won't hold my breath.

It's a shame about the Radio Flyer

I got the Radio Flyer for Christmas when I was a kid in the 1950s. a complete piece of shit. The wooden lattice was broken. Sheet metal is very thin. The tires were cheap Chinese rubber and smelled throughout the house. Radio Flyer, which was once a great American product, is now Chinese garbage.

Extremely solid construction but needs work on it

This arrived in what appeared to be good condition. Make sure you have 3-in-1 oil for the front wheel assembly. You will leave the assembly process with sore hands as all the nuts and bolts are required to assemble this piece of jewelry. When putting the wooden sides on I noticed that one of the sides was slightly bent down, but I folded it back about an inch and everything went smoothly again. Towing the van once assembled I can say it is very durable and will certainly tow the advertised 200…

a very cheap imitation of a previously excellent product. On the plus side

The Radio Flyer station wagon that was the standard for years is now a cheap, low quality product. Wooden side panels are made from cheap and lightweight wood. The light steering hub arrived so irregularly shaped that it could not be mounted. All in all a very cheap imitation of a previously excellent product. On the plus side, the pneumatic tires and steel wheels are a definite improvement over the outdated product. The final insult is that I returned the item and the seller was unable to…

Flat tire, missing part!

Combi is good but the first problem was a missing lock nut which luckily I had as a spare (could you afford to include or count?). The big problem was that one of the tires was flat. After removing the tire from the rim, I found that the chamber had two holes instead of one. Quality control is not a priority in my opinion. I couldn't find anything on the internet about how to buy a new tire. After patching the tube (twice) it was not possible to put the tire back on the plastic rim due to the…

Better quality 70 years ago

I had a Radio Flyer van in the 50's and that is the main reason I bought this one. However, it is now manufactured in China, which is reflected in several ways. 1) The nuts are a combination of SAE and metric, so using a crescent wrench is probably recommended. 2) The wood is very bad. It comes very close to the cork wood we used on our airplane models 70 years ago. One of the racks was broken upon arrival (I taped it back together to use). 3) An additional cotter pin would not hurt. I misused…

Great purchase! fits trailers

I bought this for $105 from Revain. It was used and sent very well, but what I actually received was a new, unused van with a dent in the metal part of one side corner of the van. My husband took his mallet and towel to gently poke it and voila! It's back to how it was originally supposed to look! We are so happy with our van and my 6 and 1 year old are both happily enjoying their van right now. We also noticed a bad smell emanating from the tires, so we collected it outdoors and left it in the

Best Van Ever, beats plastic models; GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

My husband had a handcart as a child and so did I; We thought this would be the best gift and experience for any child! A lot of research was done before selecting this car and as many other reviews have stated the performance of this car is best in class. A few things that heavily influenced our decision: (1) we both had that traditional Radio Flyer style (but the body used to be wood, as opposed to its metal body today), (2) the removable wood side panels (however in On this version they are…
