Review on Heavy Duty Lid Support Hinges QBOSO Folding Hinges, Ideal for Cabinet, Closet, Wardrobe, and Toybox 110 Degree (Heavy Duty Style, 1 Pair) by Scott Decoteau

I bought these to hold open the lid of a toy box I was building for my soon-to-be little girl. Since the lid remains, I can't fault them. Open the lid and they hold it until you want to close it. The "soft close" part of the description can be a bit misleading. Couldn't find a spot on the voltage setting (resistance setting? Have to take it apart to see what's going on inside) where the lid would close smoothly. They are almost fully tightened and the lid is still in free fall for about 8 inches. It's not a heavy lid and I figured I'd only need one of these. In hindsight I still only needed one as adding a second didn't change the resilience at all. I still give 4 stars. This is a pair of lid stops that work fairly cheaply. Just don't expect them to behave like soft-closing kitchen cabinets.
