Review on Extech MO55 – Dual-function Moisture Meter for Pin/Pinless Testing by Hesham Peltier

This device was purchased for contactless use. Worked well enough when I first used it. A few weeks later I tried touchless mode and the readings were consistently at 90% or higher even when nothing was touched (should be 0% in this case). The device is defect. I've tried turning off the power, changing the batteries, etc. but to no avail. Note that in this case "pin mode" still seemed to work, but wasn't suitable for my needs. Returned/replaced the block with Revain. And the second device did the same. Unfortunately this time 2 days after my return. A question sent via Revain went unanswered. I'm stuck with a faulty device that I used once.
