Review on Moen 16090 Chateau Collection Chrome Escutcheon Replacement for One-Handle Tub and Shower Faucets by Michael Hughes

Genuine Great Moen Replacement Pads

I actually bought this used through Revain Warehouse Deals for less than $15 (approx 15% savings) in very good (like new) condition. It was repackaged without screws (which weren't needed anyway). It looks new and is better quality than other aftermarket parts. I know this because I had a replacement pickguard (Danco I think) that was made of thinner metal and after about 5 years it cracked a bit around the bolts. It's about 8 years old now and I'm replacing it with the original Moen rubber. I assume this one will be used for at least 10 (probably 20) years. Note: As I have 2 showers with the same Moen fittings, I also purchased a BrassCraft SK0230 Plumbing Store for a Moen Bathtub and Shower Panel Set, Chrome Finish, for another bathroom. Completely remodel the shower. The BrassCraft replacement is a good deal, complete with all new parts including fairing (with rubber grommet), shower handle, drip/stop tube and 2 new bolts. I would like to note that the BrassCraft metal pickguard is also not as heavy (hard/durable) metal as the original Moen pickguard, but is still a very worthy aftermarket replacement.
