I purchased several of these protectors after a nearby lightning strike caused significant damage to my networking equipment. When using a gigabit network, after installing protectors, the network speed dropped to several kbps, down to zero. Removing it brought the network back to normal speeds. When buying protectors from another brand, in the name of which there is already a gigabit network, these problems did not arise. After checking the product description, I noticed at one point that although only 100/10 Mbit was mentioned, there was no information or warning about the disruption to faster networks. .Conclusion: If you have a state-of-the-art Gigabit LAN, then this protector is not for you.
