Review on Sunhigo Shelter Protection Picnics Camping by Michael Gonzales

Works well in mild conditions

My family goes to the beach regularly. For many years we have been using 2 large parasols for 2-5 people. The Sunhigo Beach Shade provides significantly more shade, as you can see in the photo. Quickly assembled by two people. I think it can be done by one person with no wind. The hood is made of thin and very elastic material. I appreciate that the Sunhigo sun visor is small enough to pack and has instructions sewn into the zip pocket. Once set up, the dimming system is easily set up by simply moving poles or sandbags. The first day the wind was light for the beach and we still had to put 3 support posts on the windward side for optimal performance. This left the back corner clear of the support post, but the wind kept that corner aloft. On the second day the wind picked up and it was a bit more difficult to set up the shade at first. The posts and anchor pockets had to be readjusted several times and by the end of the day we noticed that a small hole had formed. It also rained quickly and the canopy offered little shelter, but when the wind blew the water from the roof shook right at us. When the sun came out it dried quickly. Our beach has flag warning systems for wind and water. The first day was green, the lowest. The second day was yellow. I am not sure if Sunhigo will operate on a red flag day i.e. high winds. If you are using in a calm environment like a lake with sandy shores, I recommend Sunhigo. In beach or other windy conditions, consider your average wind gust strength and whether you need help setting up and taking down. I couldn't break myself when it was windy. Don't forget to bring a garbage bag for the blind itself to keep sand out of the car. I'll shake mine out when I get home and it won't be as windy. The Sunhigo Beach Canopy was very popular and we noticed several people taking photos of it. I will use it while I have it!
