I bought this machine with a replacement filter knowing it would cover up to 800m². ft. However, the CADR rating is under 240 (that's 123 CFM), so I was a little skeptical about how quickly it could exchange fresh air. I've been using it in the living room (about 500 square feet) and bedroom (about 200 square feet) for a couple of weeks. In the living room, the car is too small for 500 square meters. Feet (high setting may take hours or more to reduce particles and VOCs) but works well in the bedroom. I have a PM 1, 2.5 and 10 reader with VOC measurement, and while the machine dose reduces all PM particles fairly quickly, it doesn't reduce VOCs that much. If I place a PM and VOC reader on the machine, it quickly reduces the VOC, but I believe that since the machine doesn't have enough cleaning power (CADR is 123 cfm), it doesn't reduce the links to VOC reduction efficiency. However, the replacement filter is $30 for up to 6 months depending on usage and the unit is less than $200, can't really complain. I don't know how long the machine will last in continuous use, overall I'm happy with the product and intend to keep it.
