Not in a large tank

I agree with some of the other reviews it works well but I don't think it works well in a large tank. It only reads the temperature of the wall it is attached to. When I check, my heat gun just below shows a big difference, at least 10⁰ higher. It's good because it can be set at different angles, but it's transparent and I can't read it most of the time because there's no solid background. I just put a piece of sticker on the back and it became a lot easier for me to read.
