A good base device, but a few issues prevent it from being great.

This NVR is very easy to setup and use. Adding TrendNet cameras was a plugin and everything worked right away. However, not all things are good, so let me talk about each of the issues this device is facing. The time is not correctly synchronized with the cameras. The device receives ntp with what appears to be a scheduled task to query and set the time, not to constantly sync. It doesn't provide ntp to guest cams and as a result they get out of sync. Some camera work to disable daylight saving time and adjust the time to the browser seems to come close enough. Motion tracking and alerting may use enhanced documentation or functionality. Most other camera systems I work with display a timeline in the UI with two different colors to represent detected motion. I haven't been able to get this feature to work yet, and I'll contact support later in this section if reading the timing instructions doesn't clear things up. Web Browser Support Again in 1999, it's best to only browse and support Internet Explorer. Even Microsoft has abandoned Internet Explorer. All protocols used are modern standards, but for some reason you can only watch videos if you only install the Internet Explorer plugin. There is no excuse for this lack of support for standards-compliant browsers and non-Windows operating systems. The Android app works well and the desktop software behaves as expected. If you don't mind the listed glitches, this device is quick and easy. a way to quickly provide the basic functionality for a very good point.
