I suffer from hair loss and needed a soft pillowcase for my memory foam pillow. I've done extensive research on sarin, silk pillowcases, and hair ties, which seem to reduce hair breakage and hair loss in general. Satin pillowcases cost several times less than these silk pillowcases and I was tempted to buy one. The satin felt cheap and slippery and I got rid of it before persuading myself to spend $$ on this 100% mulberry silk pillowcase. First, the delivery was fast and the pillowcase came in a pretty gift box. When I opened it up I doubted it could look like cheaper satin or polyester. How wrong was I! These pillowcases are the epitome of soft, silky, sumptuous luxury. Immediately tick all the boxes. I soaked the pillowcase in Dettol and water to sanitize before use. I bought a gray one and was happy that it doesn't spread out when washed and the material doesn't wrinkle after drying. The standard size is too big for my contour pillow, which is fine with me as I couldn't find a smaller size. The processing is excellent and the case has a discreet zipper. The only thing you might want to be aware of is that nails you have can scratch the pillowcase and I don't regret not choosing a lighter color as there will be stains or dust on them. I've been using it for about 3 months and will update here if it helps me with my hair loss or not. Also, you may need additional covers in case 1 wears out. I have washed both hand and machine on the gentle cycle and the pillowcase has held up well. For now, I would highly recommend these silk pillowcases.
