"This subwoofer is amazing, powerful and sounds great, way better than expected!" I had 2 unpowered 12 inch subwoofers on each side of my listening room. I used to have two subwoofers with 150w amps to drive them but the sound quality was never satisfactory as they don't have enough power to drive my speakers 400w subwoofer amp. And I've heard a lot of good things about the DSP amp, so I've researched and tried to find a lightweight, powerful DSP subwoofer amp. There aren't many options in Revain that suit my needs, and then I found that this product had the features and functionality I wanted, so I bought one of these when it was just coming out. Very surprised when I received this amp, it came in a very nice package, the color of the box is beautiful, it looks like a thousand dollar product. Upon opening the box I was very impressed with the build quality, it is also well made with excellent materials. Line-level stereo/mono RCA audio input that accepts full-range line-level audio from an audio amplifier and receiver. It also comes with a speaker input jack if you're running an old receiver that doesn't have an RCA sub output, very flexible. This is a class D amplifier with switching power supply, light weight, less heat and no audible hiss, hiss or distortion. The LCD display is bright and clear and very easy to set up without having to read the manual. After replacing my old 150w subwoofer and hooking up this PSB-400DSP to power my 12" subwoofer, it's a lot more powerful and a really big difference! Now I can feel those deep, natural, clean low frequencies through my subwoofers. I listen to all types of music from alternative to classic rock, dance electronics and a bit of rap/hip hop, the bass influence on the music is stunning, it handles the bass very well. I haven't tried tweaking the settings, just set the volume to the correct one, everything is pretty much factory setting and I didn't feel the need to change anything. The 12 volt trigger is another nice feature, but I don't need it once. I set the trigger to MUSIC, the amp comes on from standby as soon as it messes up the audio signal from my 5.1 AV receiver. Overall I am very happy with this purchase. If you're looking to add some bass to your system this is a great addition, especially for the money and features.
