These snap hooks appear to be of good quality. They feel strong and sturdy, and the paint on them is smooth and flawless. The clasps are fairly stiff but are fairly easy to hold open once tightened. They then snap very tightly when you release them. I tried opening it once, at least several dozen times, and didn't feel like it was loose. The item page has "Ceiling" in the title but I think they are best suited for vertical mounting, not ceiling. . A small clasp holds something with an inverted hook and feels fairly secure, but will likely be awkward and difficult to get something off the hook. The threaded portion of the screw is about ¾ inch long. The hook hole is about half an inch, but in order to refasten the clasp you don't want to put more than about 5/16 of an inch (at the narrowest side) through the hook. The product page says the hooks can hold up to 40 pounds, but of course that depends on what you're putting the screw into. The kit includes drywall anchors. They're a bit pricey for hooks, but if you need a locking feature, they're worth it. If you have something you hang on hooks that can be knocked off or thrown off, you're really going to love this. No complaints.
