I've tried to settle for a similar monitor that was over $100 cheaper than this one and have had to deal with some pretty horrible ghosting and the hassle of repackaging and sending it back. Do yourself a favor and spend a little to get what you really want. I was very happy with the image quality with basic editing for music production and video viewing (TV shows, music videos like Carpenter Brut - Turbo Killer). I use the DisplayPort features that this monitor offers without any problems.
