Wow, these great things!

I do the dishes in our house, so it's an evening ritual that's been around for many, many years. I've used light blue/dark blue Scotch-Brite pads for as long as I can remember, sometimes yellow/green when blue wasn't available, and both have served me well for decades. I saw these amazing Dobie sponges as a featured product and figured it was just a way for Scotch-Brite to increase margins a bit with a "premium" sponge, although maybe that's part of it, they're still pretty cheap. As far as the work they do is incredible, not only am I spending less time washing dishes, they are undoubtedly getting better. The best part is that the time saver is the part I dislike the most, the scrubbing and repeated scrubbing to get rid of melted food residue from pans and utensils. It doesn't scratch anything I've cleaned in months of use. They're the perfect size, they seem a little smaller than regular old-school sponges, but they work so much better from all angles. The little hard plastic seams on either end are also really good for small gaps, I'm not sure if this was intentional or manufactured that way, but it's a nice little extra tool that you should already have in your hands. Their downside is they definitely don't last that long, once there's a hole in the exoskeleton your poor little sponge is on it. This is the last phase, it will be over in a day or two. Maybe I'm using old sponges that are too long? I don't know but it's noticeable but honestly given how much time they save and how much better they perform overall it doesn't really matter in my decision. I think I saw it on another reviewer so I can't take responsibility. but if the sponge survives better days washing dishes, i attribute it to the bathroom cleaning, where there are fewer things on which small tears can get caught, they last for a few bathroom cleanings, which i would still like to throw afterwards, who wants one 6 month old little sad dirty germ filled sponge hanging around the bathroom? As good as those dobies in the kitchen, they might even be better in the bathroom, they just rip up anything the bathroom can throw at it. Our main bathroom is quite large with lots of tiles and this allows for quick cleaning. If you're on the fence try these, I mean look how much I just wrote about the sponge!
