The thin silicone left and right sides don't adequately cover the edges of the board and are very flexible so they don't stay straight. They haven't increased its size, so there's no chance of it staying closed. I have a feeling that if you pull the thin part of the ice the little connection will break. The fit was very tight for my toilet slab, to the point where I figured I'd have to cut it off halfway through installation because it wouldn't move. Because it was so tight, it deformed the thin edges even more. Good idea, terrible execution.
