Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good value for money, I recommend it.

Briefly. Two and a half weeks have passed, and I still do not use the phone, but I struggle with it. Alas and ah, there are no alternatives on the market, you have to endure. A very niche product for those who need exactly the civilian stock Android with MIL-STD-810G. If you don't recognize yourself in this description, stay away from the Nokia XR20. Next is the lyrics. The previous phone (AGM X3) lived with me for almost three years. He is still alive, but, alas, the last Android Security ate for him was officially released in the fall of 2022. A lot of software just doesn't work (push notifications don't work on software that requires a more recent Security ate). I had to change. In general and in general, AGM X3 as a phone (ergonomically, screen, camera, sound) is noticeably better. But here the software part (lack of necessary, alas, ates) let us down. Alas, there are no alternatives to the Nokia XR20 (namely, MIL-STD-810G in a “civilian” design and with “bare” Android) on the market right now. You have to eat what is given. And they give it to themselves. Gave 4 stars for looks, bare Android, and promises of MIL-STD-810G and ates for several years. Without taking into account my requirements (civilian MIL-STD-810G on stock), Nokia XR20 would be rated two . two and a half stars, no more. We have to endure, because after almost three years with the AGM X3 it will not be possible to return to the phone, which cannot be carried in a convenient pocket and cannot be thrown at the feet when you need to quickly free both hands. And there is nothing else on the market. AGM X4 was never made, and AGM X5 still will not be brought. P. S. The reviews complained about the battery. Everything is fine with the battery, it lasts for two days with WiFi and Bluetooth turned on in the “look into chats / e-mail on smoke breaks and stick to the browser in transport” mode with a margin.

Pros
  • Good battery, great design for MIL-STD-810G protection, timely Android ates and Android Security ate.
Cons
  • There are quite a few shortcomings, although none of them are critical, but the overall impression is spoiled: 1) bad location of the fingerprint sensor. I hold the phone with my left hand, I constantly have to make sure that I don’t accidentally get under a fingerprint scan; 2) the volume rocker is unsuccessfully solved. To use it, one must either use both hands, or long aim with the index finger; 3) the button on the left side climbs under the thumb. One consolation, it is easy to turn it off in the settings; 4) there is no camera shutter button on the bottom right edge. In general, all the shortcomings boil down to the fact that the location of the buttons is inconvenient in everyday use for those who hold the phone with their left hand. You constantly accidentally lock the phone, then accidentally unlock it, then you climb into the fingerprint sensor while taking it out of your pocket, and you have to enter a PIN to unlock it (and while you are entering it, you will climb into the same sensor a couple more times). It's been two weeks and I still can't get used to the phone. Always striving to live his life. And another moment. The camera, frankly, is not a fountain. For ordinary shots on the run (what schedule to take a picture of or a cat on the couch) it will do, you should not count on anything more (especially at dusk).
