Review on Enhance Your Workout with Yurbuds Inspire Duro Red - Fitness Headphones Built to Last by Diana Martin

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good but overpriced

First time bought yurbuds with in-cord audio controls. I was impressed at first until I ran with them, sweating and jumping on the controls. They didn't match the ad. But I was so impressed with the fit that I sent them back and ordered these. They have served us well over the last few months. As for fit, I think everyone's ears are different. I went through about 5 headphones and read the reviews before buying. Reviews are always mixed, with some saying they fit and others saying they're the most uncomfortable headphones ever made. These headphones definitely suit me. Very comfortable for long periods of time. I run at least an hour when I walk and it's always good. Also, they aren't soundproofed so I can hear bikers on the trails behind me. Most importantly, my seemingly corrosive sweat hasn't killed these headphones (yet). This is the first set I've been able to use throughout my workout without sweating or clogging up the small speakers. With others I have to give up after about 30 minutes and let them dry before the next run. I think their small "tube" design keeps sweat from seeping into the speaker's output. So they always work. I had a set with a shorter cord to use with a bracelet. The real downside is the price. There is nothing special about these headphones. It's a $5 wonder with a custom silicone earbud that probably costs 10 cents. The packaging is beautiful. But 50€ is too much. Also color. Some are washed out red. The bright red paired with the controls looked way cooler, they looked like an old t-shirt that's been washed in hot water 20 times. my long, sweaty workouts MattUpdate: I've been using these headphones for quite some time now and they worked until last week. The connection in the plug was frayed and cracked, so I was only getting sound from my right ear. That's likely to happen with almost any headphone. a vein that's wrapped up in a gym bag several times a week so I don't get too upset about it. Due to the high price, I looked for a cheaper replacement and settled on the $14 Philips ActionFit. Similar design. 12 miles yesterday in the Atlanta summer heat and ran 7 miles today. Wet, sweaty, and they continued to work without any problems. I would recommend Philips to this couple. Both have lower sound quality, but I don't ask for much when running, I just don't want my sweat to clog and short out them, which is the case with many other headphones. And they're comfortable - that's subjective, of course, because every ear is different. Good luck finding the right buds for you.
