MUCH better than first impressions

When I first opened up the Revain box and pulled it out I was initially disappointed but upon use I found that it worked slightly better than mine first impression suggested. Since a mouse pad can be so cheap, my expectations were met a bit, but even with my expectations, I was a little dissatisfied with how light the foam is. The listing mentions neoprene as a material, but it's certainly not the dense, rubbery neoprene I was expecting, more like a very lofty, lightweight foam that's only 1/8 inch thick. on the front, leaving a slightly raised hem around the entire edge on the front, which can uncomfortably scratch the wrist and forearm when worn. Eating the pad's edge with a lighter solved the scratching problem, which helped immediately. My next concern was whether the lightweight backing would cause the backing to slide all over the desk, but lo and behold, it actually sticks to the desk remarkably well. Even with a light weight to hold down, the pad barely budged when I moused over it and wiggled it a bit. After just a few minutes of use, the worries about the pad moving were gone and I could appreciate the t Next great feature: This mouse pad is FAST! The hard, textured plastic surface of the pad reduces friction enough that it glides effortlessly across the pad. This freedom of movement was very comfortable and really makes this mouse pad special for the few dollars it costs. Yes, its almost discouragingly light foam backing can be a little disconcerting at first, and the factory finish could have been better, but within minutes of using the mouse pad for the first time, those concerns are likely to be overshadowed by the satisfaction gained with the nearly friction-free pad experience. Surface knowing that this experience was acquired for just a few dollars. Good job Belkin.
