It would be ideal if it could be used with a protective case/case.
It would be perfect if it could be used with a protective case/lid (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MQNLVE8/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc= 1) which I also bought. To protect my Macbook I have to keep the case. So you need to return that hub and find one that has an extension cord that also works with the laptop cover.
