I have looked at numerous reviews and spoken to friends who have these and perimeter fences. I chose this one for the three collar feature and as a wholesaler I chose to have additional collars if needed. I've been using this for my stubborn but sweet boxer for a few months now. We live on the water and she loves to play in it. She quickly understood how it works. Make sure you don't harm your pet by over-revving. Another suggestion is to make sure the tines are touching their skin. Otherwise you will try to send a signal and the pet will not feel it. So you turn it on. Now he has turned his head so that the contact is better and he squeaks. The range is amazing. I can't say it's a full 3/4 mile, but I know it works for 1/2 mile. Remarkable system. The only reason for no 5 stars is that there are two things I would have liked. 1.) A choice for all three at once 2.) I would like a normal collar to match the device. I just don't like the need for two collars.
