Fits my needs but has annoying issues

You need this product if your device's USB 3.x or C ports don't support HDMI over USB. My gaming laptop, which already has an HDMI port, doesn't support it. Smaller products that are "adapters" will not work in this case. The alternative is some kind of document. I don't need more USB ports, a third monitor is enough. My laptop has integrated graphics on the processor but also a dedicated card. Annoyances: + Windows 10 has a color dimming and brightness feature. It does not work on the monitor connected to this product; So this monitor stays bright and blue when my other two displays (one of which is an identical monitor connected to a laptop) + the device either has a defective driver or is overheating at a certain frequency. The displays freeze as if Windows were re-detecting the connected hardware. Sometimes the Nvidia overlay appears; leads me to suspect that the driver is crashing. This is very annoying when working remotely via RDP. + The display adapter does not show up in the display or monitor control software. Neither in the Intel materials, nor in the Nvidia materials. Applying some settings is tedious, especially when trying to achieve visual consistency on identical monitors.
