Review on ๐Ÿฆ… Optimized Eagle Wooden Boomerang from Colorado Boomerangs by Richard Eledge

You might as well throw a rock!

When I first examined this Eagle boomerang, I found that the poorly sanded plywood used in its construction was full of numerous small voids around the edges, especially along the leading edges, which raised concerns about how well it will fly. Inexpensive but functional boomerangs are usually made from Baltic birch plywood. More expensive models use Finnish aircraft plywood. It looked just like the cheap hardware store stuff with two outer layers of birch veneer and one layer of putty. Just like cheap birch plywood, this material suffered from multidirectional deformation. Each wing rotated in two or more different directions, which was definitely not intentional, and I've read about boomerang designs since this purchase. This and two other boomerangs were bought for my son. In a hurry to get boomerangs at the peak of his interest in something, I bought spontaneously and did not research, relying on positive reviews and advertising. I made an expensive mistake. This company's boomerangs are mass-produced under acceptable industry standards. No matter how we threw them or set them up (most well-made boomerangs can be adjusted to compensate for different flight characteristics), they are so poorly made that they would require extensive post-processing, wood-filling, and steam-straightening to even get started. to be able to fly normally. I am a hobby pilot and experimental aircraft designer with professional scientific training. I threw boomerangs when I was young and I know how they work; and they work well when done right. Colorado Boomerang doesn't care about your satisfaction. Their "no return if used" policy is ridiculous and should be a wake up call for you. Please understand that their boomerang designs are quite reliable and have been used successfully by others for decades, but they use unacceptable materials and finishing processes. Boomerang throwing is a fun, thoughtful, and healthy hobby that relies heavily on the quality of equipment used. Despite their relatively high price, these boomerangs will have you reversing before they do.
