Review on 🔒 Enhanced Transfer Cable Lock Kit with Secure Locking Hitch Pin by Peter Green

I LOVE my Kuat Transfer 2 tray rack (bought from LBS but out of stock from their supplier) but I don't love this lock set. I think the main benefit of cable locks is that they offer a bit more security in terms of bike stability during transport, especially when in transit. B. when driving on bumpy roads, although this is actually not so necessary due to the greater stability of the trunk. I suppose a quick stop at the store is a little safer, but true thieves will laugh when they get their hands on your beautiful carbon wheels if that's your only protection. The cables are also short, so don't expect anything other than the head tube and top tube. If your vehicle is equipped with a tow bar rather than just a tow bar, using a high end cable lock through the tow chain holes and a real lock will greatly improve the security of your bikes that go through frames compared to this setup . .About the hitch - the same story. It's not highly secure anyway. It takes a thief about 2 seconds more to pull it out compared to the clip that comes with the stand itself. The best idea, if possible, would be to remove the bikes, fold the trunk, and reverse the car as close as possible to a permanent object, fence, or building, making it much harder to remove quickly and easily. Unfortunately, such a scenario is unlikely, but it would certainly be safer than in an open area with a lock. I can't say I completely regret this purchase, but honestly I don't think I would recommend it either. Too bad, because Kuat knows his way around tray stands. The manager at my LBS liked the tray rack so much that he bought it for himself and is considering carrying a Kuat transfer rack around the store, but he wasn't overly impressed with the set either and most likely wouldn't wear it.
