I have a rescued 30 lb girl and she is the best little girl except at 6am when she wants to bark at everyone in the backyard . I got this collar because I can control the level and type of discipline. She's shyer than anything, so I just vibrate on level 9 (she goes from 1 to 9), which is enough to get her attention, while I tell her "don't bark" to correlate, which hopefully is enough Future. . It has a beep option, but I'm not quick enough to switch modes to match the beep to the vibration. I had many doubts about the discipline because I never wanted to hurt her, but the mode of vibration that I put on my arm and held there and it didn't hurt at all is enough to get her attention. The collar is durable and adjustable and the battery lasts quite long (rechargeable). I liked it so much I bought 2 more, one for our big dog and one for my mom's dog. In one set there are guides in different sizes for dogs of different sizes. For $41, no pipe dream!
