Slow write speed as advertised. There are cheaper and faster alternatives.

MOVE SPEED 128GB USB Flash Drive Metal construction makes it durable and well made. The protective cap does not get lost as it is attached to the body of the USB stick. it's no surprise. The description clearly states that the slow write speed is 20MB/s. 20MB/s is USB 2.0 speed, but at least the read speed is slightly better. The device I received was able to achieve read speeds of 117.6 MB/s and 24.9 MB/s. s Burst write speed with a sustained write speed of 21MB/s. I filled up the drive and still got a peak write speed of 24.8 MB/s with a sustained write speed of 21 MB/s. I always fill the media (USB sticks, SD cards, etc.) to the maximum capacity and read the files to ensure that the capacity is allowed. Having seen many complaints about storage media not having the capacity specified by the manufacturers, I have to explain the capacity discrepancy between media. Capacity as specified by manufacturer and Windows operating system. Storage media manufacturers measure capacity in decimal numbers (1 GB = 1000 MB / 128 GB = 128,000 MB). The Windows operating system uses the binary system to measure disk space (1GB = 1024MB / 128GB = 117,000MB). Because of this, your flash drive, hard drive or SD card may show less capacity than st. Manufacturer. In this case, manufacturers and operating systems such as MacOS and Linux use the correct measure (giga prefix = 1000). The USB stick MOVE SPEED took 4 minutes to write a 5GB video file. I have a similarly inexpensive USB 3.0 that can record the same video file at 1:20. I found this slow for a USB 3.0 drive. The MOVE SPEED 128 GB flash drive has been formatted in FAT32 and therefore does not support files larger than 4 GB. Formatting the drive to exFAT increases the read speed to 119MB/s, but decreases it. Read speed up to 16MB/s. But formatting the drive to NTFS increases the read speed to 125 MB/s, and the read speed drops slightly to 19 MB/s. The read speed of the USB stick MOVE SPEED 128 GB is ideal even for 4k videos, so this drive is ideal as a media storage on which you rarely write files and only play the audio or video files stored on it.
