I bought this machine some time ago and only got around to installing it a month ago. It's good that it's an original HP product, something like that lasts forever. I inserted the card, tightened the screws, connected the ethernet cable, turned on the printer and that's it! My HP Laserjet 2200d printer configured the card without a beep. I downloaded the latest printer software from the HP support site, installed the software, and then printed to my printer. HP really improved the software, it found my printer and gave me the option to make it permanent. By the way, last week I was at a customer's and the HP printer driver was found on the Samsung MFC network and I was able to connect to it and print and. Yes, I could consider it permanent. Go HP! Disadvantage: The Ethernet connector did not fit. Just make sure you plug in the ethernet cable properly. The printer cable cover should prevent it from moving. It's a cheap, used NIC (I think it's actually brand new). This card originally cost over $200. (Minus 1 star per plug.)
