I started taking art classes and now we're moving on to painting with acrylics and this setup has helped me a lot. I wasn't looking for a large easel, but this tabletop was perfect for me. I just throw in an old rag or towel so I don't make a big mess and paint with it on canvases of various sizes and even art paper. The canvas that came with the kit is similar to the one I bought separately and was really easy to paint on. The colors that came with the kit were more than enough for what I needed them for. You get so many beautiful colors and blending was easy when I had to mix them. When everything is ready I can store everything in a drawer so I don't have to worry about losing anything. The brushes that came with this set were the only ones I used, but I bought a scraper to help with some of the things I was trying to do. No matter which brush I use, the paint applies smoothly and not a single brush peels off my paintings. Definitely a good kit if you are a beginner or buying one for someone who is a beginner like me.
