I have a 2000 Jeep Wrangler. I wasn't able to use 2 screwed ends. But a long body is the perfect length. I removed the 2 front nuts on each side of the seat holding the seat rails in place and also removed the bracket holding the seat spring (you will no longer need this part). Then, using a step drill, enlarged the extreme ends of the slots on each side of the long body just enough to bolt it to the seat's slide bolts. Then attach the seat spring to the slot in the bracket you just installed. This moves the fire extinguisher (in) and (up) out of the way to allow full seat movement (tilt the seat forward) and allow passengers to sit in the rear. I've seen some people say you lose that forward tilt seat feature on a Jeep TJ with this bracket. Hope that helps.
