I've had these jeans for a while and I can tell you they're not that waterproof. Water can and does bounce off jeans at times, but I believe this only happens in certain areas of the jeans. But jeans still absorb water, and please don't expect to ride in heavy or even light rain without feeling completely or very soaked. On the other hand I ran the 2XL and still felt a bit tight, I have a 36-220lb waist, 5ft 8in male. These jeans are SMALL and if you buy a size that isn't listed as PREMIER you will have to wait almost a MONTH before you can get the right pair.
