Review on πŸ’» Onvian 3 Port USB Hub: High-Speed Splitter with Plug-and-Play Capability, Bus-Powered by Derek Jha

He does what I want.

I installed a splitter in the far right USB 3.0 port on my laptop and connected it to a rectangular USB adapter so that the USB 2.0 ports faced the back. This keeps my USB 2.0 ports close to the side of the computer where they don't get in the way of my mouse. Currently I only use one USB 2.0 port, but in the future I will use either another USB 2.0 port or a USB 3.0 port for the Yubi Key. The latter was my main reason for purchasing this splitter. The splitter fits into the adapter at an exact right angle with very little wobble. The connectors in the adapter are currently very tight, so much so that I have to use one hand on the splitter and the other on the connector or USB stick to remove the connector or drive. That's actually a good thing, because what's plugged in won't be accidentally pulled out now, and will hold up securely in the future after wear and tear from numerous inserts. adapter) and a small, self-adhesive, thick foam rubber pad that can be stuck to the bottom of the adapter to prevent cables from pulling down on the adapter and potentially damaging the adapter or the port it is plugged into. My laptop is a workstation model which is a bit thicker than most laptops so the lining is too thin for that. I need to attach a lining to use it, but I'm not worried about that just yet. Since computer products are disappearing pretty quickly, I've ordered two more of these as spares. Since some people have reported problems with theirs, I'll definitely check them out before removing them.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
