Best Drain Pump + Tips

My drain pump is 14 years old and it's time to replace it before it's too late. I did a lot of research and everyone ranked the Zoeller pump as the best. After installation, the drain pump works very well and is very quiet. We don't hear anything when it's on from the first floor. Here are some tips for installing and securing your drain pump battery: 1). Replace a new sump pump every 7-10 years. If you don't have too many power outages and your area doesn't get too much rain. You may not need a backup battery drain pump. Instead, it's best/cheapest to replace a new drain pump every 710 years (even the old one still works fine).2). Install a water alarm (with a wire that goes into the sump) for insurance.3). Also replace the pressure line (from the booster pump to the check valve). 1.5" PVC pipe and adapter are cheap. It's hard to take our old one. Just replace it with a new one to make it easier. four). Also replace the check valve (be sure to include a 1/8" or 3/16" hole in the PVC pipe, read the installation guide). 5). .6). Take a ceramic tile and put the bottom of my sump on it. After I finish the whole After removing dirt from my sump I found that it wasn't flat (and strong enough) at the bottom of my sump for my sump pump. Laying ceramic tile solves the problem. Hope this helps!
