I haven't had this scanner for a long time, so my opinion may change after prolonged use. I liked my decent scanner and this one doesn't impress me (so far). The instructions are pretty sparse, so I haven't figured out all the options yet. Most of what I scan is for electronic filing, and I don't often need to do anything else with my scans, so this should work just fine. If you have more advanced needs I can't talk about that. I hope as I use it more and figure out the best settings for me, I'll grow to love it. I don't think it's a bad scanner or anything, just a higher learning curve than I expected.
