The cymbal holder works great but not for grinding
I bought this holder from Oreck's instructions to use their orbital as a grinder. Orek has many explanations for this surprisingly silly design. Abrasive pads have no means of attachment to the oreck other than friction and prayer. Unfortunately, none of them work reliably when the machine is on. I've spent more time removing and moving the sanding sheet than actually sanding it and as a result the sheet wears out unevenly and quickly. Also, it's pointless to call Oreka's tech center as they instructed me to ignore the original instructions; Your new instructions worked even worse and could potentially damage this holder. I'm pretty sure her explanation was just to get me off the phone. Incidentally, since I got my sanding sheet order done too quickly, I was able to find rectangular sheets of the same sanding material in HD rentals for a fraction of the price, but you have to sand circles yourself. Maybe while you're in HD you can borrow a matching grinder too.
