I bought these shoes to wear to weddings to set up my husband's DJ equipment. I decided to wear my flats to unloading because the floor at our first location (after my purchase) was dirty with concrete and the heels of the shoes were very slippery. Before leaving the house I rubbed a dry bar of soap on all the edges of my shoes which I was afraid might cause blisters and after changing my shoes and wearing them all night I didn't get blisters at all and my feet were fine. I think if I scrape or sand the bottom of the heel a bit I don't have a problem with smooth heels. Overall I am very happy with my purchase. I usually wear 8.5w and ordered 9 to account for the width. When reading reviews, be aware that there are very similar shoes from another brand that some people might think the shoes are the same.
