Cheap stuff, won't stretch to 2 full inches

There was a small tube that I had to plug with a hole about 2 inches into it. The cap covered the pipe, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't stretch the o-rings far enough to actually grab the pipe. I tried tightening the wing nuts with a wrench hoping that would help with the installation and they broke clean.. Basically I have a loose fitting pipe hat.

Pros
