If you choose to mount flush to the panel, please note you may not receive the item shown. There are different manufacturers of these funds. The device I received was an early version from a different reputable manufacturer than LIVISN and had a higher potentiometer. Flush mounting requires a small square hole in the panel. Such a small hole cannot be made with a standard punch tool. I already had such a unit and wanted a shorter pot, as shown in the picture. The grid of the through holes in the lower right corner is also very different, but that doesn't matter in my application.
