Something is wrong with this scale because every time I use it and turn it off, the next time I use it the BRAND NEW BATTERIES are dead! This has happened 3 times already, which means he ate 6 AAA batteries! The first time I thought it was the batteries (even though they came with the scale) so I replaced them with new ones. but then it happened again! After that, I started removing the batteries after each use, but they quickly became obsolete and I foolishly hoped that maybe it would be okay to leave them alone. and no! Dead again. I don't know if this scale turns on in some way (don't know how that's possible as I store it so that the buttons are protected) or if it's just some weird battery draining issue , even if it is turned off, but either way, it sucks! Not sure if others have had this issue or if I was just lucky, but you've been warned anyway - buy at your own risk!
