Heated water tastes like plastic. I did 3 cycles, all with fresh water. After the second heating cycle, I let the pot cool, refilled it, and tried again. I asked my friend to try it, she said the water smelled more like plastic than it tasted and explained that she could hardly taste the plastic in the water. Unfortunately, it heats up quickly and looks cool in my kitchen. If it had a stainless steel liner it would certainly be more expensive but I'm sure it would eliminate the taste. I hate writing bad reviews but I can't use this.
