Review on πŸ“ž Enhanced Communication with Grandstream GS-HT802 2 Port Analog Telephone Adapter - VoIP Phone & Device in Sleek Black by James Wilson

Great ATA for use with Rotary phones

I've been using the Grandstream H502 for 10+ years to set up my home phone when it suddenly started to drop out and was adding a lot of static noise to the line. The HT802 was a natural replacement as one of my requirements was compatibility with rotary phones. You can enable support for disc dialing and strong ringer via the configuration web interface. With both of these options enabled, I find it works great with both my modern cordless phones and my old Western Electric disc players. I find the device reliable and stable and it works great with the VOIP.ms service that I subscribed to. Since Micro-USB was used for power, I was able to connect it to a very cheap POE injector and run the whole process from my POE switch, saving me the trouble of using a different wall wart in my setup. All in all it's an ATA - it works fine. , which is great for me as it's hard to find support for rotary phones. One note: it supports HD audio codecs, but in my (limited) testing I didn't notice the improvement in audio quality that I heard when using HD audio codecs on devices like Polycom IP phones. However, that can be a limitation of the handsets that I have connected to the ATA.
