I took this monocular with me on a recent trip to central Pennsylvania for hiking and bird watching. They're easy to use, much lighter to carry than binoculars, and powerful enough for long-distance vision. I could spot a pair of bald eagles at very high altitude and I could see them clearly. were investments. The clip for the smartphone was not usable even without instructions. Also, the strap that attaches to the small screw can come loose, so you need to be careful with that. But overall the product is more than worth its price.
