I use them for kombucha which the label says they're designed for. The 0-6 range is good for kombucha as many people say it should be in the 2.5 range. The strips are stored in a rigid rectangular plastic container with a hinged lid and a visual measuring scale on the back wall. The case is ok but not great as the tabs protrude at the top and often prevent the lid from closing if you slide the lid a little off center and one sticks out to the side. The strip scale uses 2 colors to indicate pH. The bottom color appears to be the same from 0 to 3, while the top color varies across the scale from 0 to 6. Because of this, I find it difficult to discern the range of gold stains from 2.0 to 3.0, because you're only targeting the top color, and that color is sort of brown. Maybe it's my eyes, but my brain keeps thinking it's one thing and then another and back again. Being new to kombucha I don't know how important it is to still have 2 vs 3 pH levels in the batch but I want to be consistent and I wish they had a little better differentiation between these levels. Finally, they will easily tell you if you are 3 years old or younger, which I've heard is important.
