This air filter is perfect for my 2017 BMW X5, the quality is much better than the original. The original comes with the car in fiberglass only. Installation consists in manually unscrewing the 3 plastic screws under the glove box on the passenger side, removing the panel, lowering the filter flap, removing the old filter, inserting a new filter, closing the filter flap. Reinstall the panel. No installation tools are required for the 2017 BMW X5. The reason to replace this filter is that the BMW warranty is 2 years to replace the filter for free, but the original filter is only filament and not. effective after 1 year. The dealer asked a high price for a filter change. Now the air in the cabin is clean. Highly recommend this excellent filter to a BMW X5 owner.
