Review on Activated Charcoal Countertop Distillers for Distilling by Narendra Thapa

If water were bullets these "filters " would be bulletproof vests

I saw one of the sellers (Pro Products) respond to a buyer's question about the materials used to make them they are made in bags. The seller's response is essentially a slap in the face and ignores the fact that the material is the root cause of the problem. Polypropylene is used to make plastics that repel water. It is non-polar and hydrophobic in nature. Without urinating. These filters are used to filter out distilled droplets. Non reverse osmosis with 40psi water pressure. These FBA sellers are a bunch of jokes. BUYERS BEWARE: Do yourself a favor and buy these carbon filters from companies that actually sell/manufacture stills and water filters. These third parties with multiple unnamed brands on their profile make money selling BSR-based fashion products. EDIT: Now this third party is accusing me of being a competitor. It really shows how contactless these FBA sellers are compared to the real deal. It also doesn't matter if it's made in the USA and is of good quality. Your product does not work as advertised. The main problem is that these filters do not let water through. Cut one open, release the charcoal and try to pour water into the bag. He's holding water. And I'm not the only one saying that.

Pros
  • Twice as much charcoal as comparable filters - quality bags
Cons
  • Very expensive
