Put this in the left rear door of my Legacy GT wagon yesterday. Now the door closes and opens correctly. Installation can be a little tricky. Be sure to remove the plastic cover that covers the door lock actuator as well as the door latch and then you can access the single screw that holds this guy in place. Put the appropriate levers back where they belong when installing the new part and you're done. Because they fail so often at the factory, I didn't think it made sense to buy an OEM part that was likely to fail again in 5-8 years. If it lasted that long anywhere, it was worth a fifth of the cost of a new one.
