My Philips / Norelco shaver which I have been using for over 10 years is completely worn out. I paid about $50 when I bought it. It was a rechargeable beard trimmer (with a light that glowed green when full and orange when low, and it could also be used from the mains), a beard trimmer that could be washed under the tap. A full charge lasts about 1.5 weeks. I saw the high prices for the same or similar razor in the Norelco line and decided it was time to look beyond that line. I had never heard of this brand or anything but it was around $50 which was my max. I looked at the reviews and questions and decided to cross my fingers and take a chance. The only downside I find is that they only give you a flimsy little pouch to store your razor while other manufacturers at least offer a nice zippered pouch. I think that's why they cost more. This razor is actually better than my Norelco I had! Blades are cheaper to replace. It's a lot quieter than my old shaver. I want it to be beyond my comprehension). Can be used when connected to the network, but the beauty is you probably never need to do this. It charges in an hour. It has a digital battery life indicator. per week and it still has an 88% charge (average shaving time = 3 to 4 minutes) Also delivers an amazingly close shave!Roman brand, I have no idea who you are but you sold me!UPDATE: Here are we 4 months into everyday life and the thing still works without problems. Charge times are still ultra-fast, with a full charge taking several weeks. Still a lot quieter than my Norelco. In fact, Roman is now my new electric shaver. Phillips/Norelco, you lost! The Roman is quieter, lasts much longer on a full charge (best I've gotten from Norelco is two weeks when new. The Roman can easily run 3 to 4 weeks before being charged again. The blades are also much cheaper.I have ' I don't give up anything Roman does everything my norelcos do but better!
