Review on Training Vibration Waterproof Lasting Rechargeable by Andrea Larson

Suitable for small breeds - collars, harnesses and leashes

Size was our main consideration when buying a collar and it fits our small 9 lb dog (2 year old Toy Fox Terrier) well. The connection between the remote and receiver is very responsive and we love that the remote wakes up instantly from sleep mode when we press a correction button, which is great for giving our dog instant manual feedback. Customer service was excellent, having initially received a broken collar and having a replacement sent out immediately we were very pleased with the total no hassle. The vibration is honestly pretty normal at the highest levels. However, I used the remote to test myself before putting it on my dog and was very impressed with the performance of this little receiver. We tuned it to consume barely a tenth of the available clout, and that's enough. We also really like the conductive silicone pen covers that are included, it's starting to get cold where we are and it would be awful if our pup had to wear cold pins around her neck while she carries them. The only reason I took off a star is that the auto bark feature itself isn't as responsive as remote controls. The main reason we looked for a collar is because our dog goes into manic barking mode when someone knocks on our door, so we need to fix unexpected triggers quickly. This product usually lags a few seconds behind our fiery cat's barking response, making it difficult for her to immediately recognize that the reaction is wrong and automatically learn not to. With that in mind, we'd like something that could "silently stop" it a little faster. Overall, this product does everything it says on the tin without compromising on quality, and it helped us get her to "think about it" before she barks mindlessly at a few random noises. It didn't automatically fix all of our barking issues, but we're seeing improvements and it's a great tool when used with the right training methods.
