This set includes a couple of spare playing pieces for each color, though these extras don't fit in the game slots. Also, you have to adjust the pieces slightly towards the outsides so that the case can close properly, a slight oversight. The pieces are also slightly irregular, which may be a flaw or a feature depending on how you look at it. If you want something that feels a little more hand-crafted and a little less "factory" feel, then great! If you're a little more particular, though, you may be mildly irritated by the varying circumferences of the pieces.
