The dishes look great from a distance and don't break, but when I opened the box the first thing that struck me was the terrible smell. I checked to see if it's just the packaging but the smell was on the dishes when I took them out of the plastic wrap. I needed them for a shower that week so instead of returning them I thought maybe it would be better if I washed them in soapy water. I tell you how much the smell is gone, so much is the color on the dishes. The water remained watery gold. Plus, they pick up fingerprints so easily. So if you put them on a tissue, wear gloves. They also have many signs of use.
