I've been making my own LED lights using 3D printed packages for a number of years and have recently attempted to make ultra thin lights using SMD LEDs and some ribbon boards. I thought of a lantern-like design with four circuit boards covered with SMD LEDs for lighting. These boards give me more connectivity so I think they will be helpful when deciding on the main design and other factors. I inspected several boards to make sure the circuitry was intact and all the boards inspected turned out to be fine. Aside from soldering errors on the LEDs on these boards, I don't expect any problems with them.
