This is perfect for my standard American Eskimo who has trouble with her hind legs and especially negotiating steps. It allows her the ability to continue to walk up the steps, but with a little help. It's like carrying a handbag up the steps. At night, she goes to the bottom of the steps and waits for me to put this on her. She also likes to still jump down the steps, which she absolutely cannot do. It lets me control how many steps you can go down at one time. I highly recommend this.
